Where to Go Next

Hook

You have walked the spine: money → Bitcoin → keys → send/receive → how the network settles → custody and safety → a Lightning peek. The question is not “what should I buy?” It is “what do I want to understand next?”

One idea

Help with Bitcoin is the same curriculum twice: a linear ebook and a choose-your-own-adventure on the site. Pick a track for guided modules, open a playground to feel a mechanism, or reread offline—without buy/sell tips.

Plain walkthrough

You finished a spine, not a finish line. Chapters 1–20 built one mental model: scarce units, keys that move them, transactions and fees, blocks and nodes, custody tradeoffs, scam habits, and (optionally) Lightning as a second layer. Gaps are normal. Use the map below to fill the ones that matter to you.

CYOA tracks (pick by goal)

On /learn, start from “Who are you today?” or jump a named path. Modules reconnect; end choices usually offer two or three doors.

TrackIf you want…Spine anchors
Bitcoin BasicsA calm first pass end to endCh 1–9, then fees, custody, scams → here
Why Bitcoin / MoneyClearer “why people care” without price talkCh 1–4, issuance, myths, nodes
Wallets & SecurityKeys, seeds, addresses, UTXOs, custody habitsCh 6–11, 17–18, practice send
Buying & CustodyHow on-ramps and holding work (mechanism only)Ch 3, 6–9, 12, 17–18 — no “should you buy”
Mining & NodesWhy txs wait, who proposes blocks, who enforces rulesCh 12–16, 19
Advanced / Under the HoodDeeper tx/UTXO/fees and Lightning after BasicsCh 10–15, 20 — after send/receive intuition

Learn front door (≤4 choices). First visit often shows Basics, Why, Wallets, and Getting & keeping (Buying & Custody). Mining & Nodes and Advanced sit under “Under the hood” or branch from fees/nodes chapters—so newcomers are not dumped into lottery math on day one.

Playgrounds (feel it, don’t memorize it)

Interactives live under /playground. Stubs may ship thin at first; the IDs stay stable for deep-links from chapters.

Open one when a chapter names it. Close it when the idea clicks. Playgrounds are teachers, not games for hype.

Same curriculum offline

Prefer a straight read on a plane or as a gift? The ebook is the same chapter IDs and ideas, packaged for offline reading—not a second, conflicting doctrine. Soft path: /book for on-site checkout when you’re ready (not an Amazon-first push). Learn and the Playground stay free from day one for everyone—including deep dives—nothing here is gated behind a purchase, and nothing here is a hard sell.

What we still will not do. Recommend exchanges, coins to acquire, timing, or “how much.” Point you at mechanism, safety habits, and honest tradeoffs. Appendices (history timeline, whitepaper tour, glossary, reading a block explorer) may arrive later—optional depth, not required for this map.

Watch-outs

  • Treating “next” as a shopping list — Tracks teach understanding. They are not product funnels.
  • Jumping to Lightning or Advanced too early — On-chain send (Ch 9) and custody basics first; Chapter 20 stays a preview until then.
  • Assuming a playground stub is broken — Early stubs teach one idea; full polish can follow without renaming the URL.
  • Mixing custodial apps with “I finished the course” — Finishing modules does not change who holds keys (Ch 17).
  • Hard-sell ebook frames — Offline copy is optional parity. Learn remains free and primary.

You now can…

  • Choose a track by goal (Basics, Why, Wallets, Buying & Custody, Mining & Nodes, Advanced).
  • Open a named playground when you want mechanism in your hands.
  • Treat the ebook as the same curriculum offline—optional, not a pressure pitch.
